I often wonder when the Day Light Saving Time ends, if the spring will ever come back or will be stuck in the gloom of winter for all eternity.
Thankfully, I have my family and friends to help keep me sane through the short daylight months.
My brother lives in Alaska where it is dark several months through the winter. Then the glorious sun comes back as continuous beam of light, to melt the snows and to warm the spirits of it's people. I just don't think I could do that.
I generally have a hard time adjusting to the time change in both the spring and the winter as my internal clock keeps its own time. I'm likely to be up at 4 AM now, and asleep by night fall.
I used to use those early mornings to write or learn something. I've put aside both of those passions for a few years now. Now I waken and I plan my day, throwing all the hurdles I can imagine in so I can help prepare myself for the oncoming chaos that this job sometimes brings.
It always helps to air those feelings and frustrations to empty that bad cup and fill it again with new hope and new reassurances that it's all going to work out the way it is supposed to.
Here is to long winter months , and to having a trusted friend or co-worker's that you can talk to.
